Portugal took the lead at 34 minutes into the game when Ronaldo sprinted into the box and passed the ball to Quaresma, who kicked the opening goal. However, within a short time, Mexican all-time top scorer Hernandez scored his 48th international goal in only 93 appearances, leveling the scoring for his team.

The second half saw Portugal score another goal when Portugal’s right-back Cedric slammed the ball at the back of the net. However the victory was short-lived, when Moreno, Mexican defender, headed the corner inside the goal, leveling the score to 2-2 and ending the match in a draw.

Wow. I really thought Portugal will win this, but the last minute header by Mexico showed there firm determination and unwavering spirit. Looking forward to the other games.
